HabitCove Is Now on Google Play
The calm habit tracker now has an Android app: reminders, home-screen widgets and the option to keep your habits only on your phone. Here is what it does and what it costs.
A calm habit tracker, now on your Android phone
HabitCove started on the web, so anyone could try it in a browser without installing anything or signing up. That still works. Today it also has its own Android app on Google Play.
It is the same idea in your pocket: plant a small habit, check it off each day, and watch it grow, with a missed day treated as a pale square rather than a broken streak.
What the app adds
The app does a few things a website can't do as well on a phone.
- checkReminders that arrive at the time you choose, for daily, weekly and monthly habits.
- checkKeep your habits only on your phone: with a free account, choose Offline in Settings → Data & Sync → Sync mode, and nothing you track is uploaded. Or keep Cloud sync on for a backup and the web.
- checkHome-screen widgets, so you can check off a habit without opening the app (with Oak).
- checkApp lock with your fingerprint, face or PIN.
- checkNine languages, starting in your phone's language.
- checkLight and dark themes.
Same habits on every device
Sign in with the same account and your habits sync between the app and habitcove.com, so a check-in on your phone shows up on your laptop.
You can also start as a guest, with no account at all, and create one later if you want your habits backed up.
What's free, and what Oak adds
The free Seedling plan covers up to four habits, three dreams and three to-dos a day, with no time limit and no card.
Oak removes the limits and adds the yearly heatmap, deeper insights, home-screen widgets, restoring backups, and your full history on the web. Exporting your data is free on every plan. In the app it is available monthly, yearly or as a one-time lifetime purchase, and Google Play shows the price in your currency before you pay.
On iPhone?
The iPhone app is on the way. Until then, open habitcove.com in Safari and add it to your home screen: it opens full screen, like an app, and syncs with the same account.
Tell us what you think
If something feels off, or there is a habit you can't track the way you want, tap Send Feedback in the app's settings or write to support@habitcove.com. If you like it, an honest review on Google Play helps other people find a calmer way to build habits.
